We know, we have seen it with our own eyes, we have been both the active alcoholic, the codependent and the vulnerable. We know what alcohol does to the alcoholic himself and to those around him. We have comforted sad children, we have poured cold mulled wine in the morning just to take the edge off the anxiety. We know. 

Being in the middle of an addiction is one grief, getting out of it is another challenge and being a close relative of an addict is another darkness. 

When you come out of an addiction, you have shards of everything you've destroyed along the way. But even those close to you who love you have shards left behind. 

We founded Järnviljan to help glue these shards together for both the sober alcoholic and those close to them. 

Some shards cost money to glue together.

We want to be able to do our best to help someone else who is doing their best.

Ties need to be healed, life needs to be taught to live and debts need to be paid.
